there's your problem. I had sprint for like 5 or 6 years and finally dumped them for Verizon a little over a year ago. I like Verizon much better. They still do some screwy stuff, but at least I get a much better signal. I ALWAYS had problems with Sprint's signal, and it's not like I live in the boonies. I'm 7 or 8 miles from the capital of the free world.

That's where the problem may be. You have to sign in and create a password. The box to receive alerts should be checked and then you click on 'Change'. That's when I received the text message.
