Cowboys signed first-round LB Anthony Spencer to a multi-year contract.
Last year's No. 26 overall pick, Buffalo's John McCargo, received a five-year, $8.6 million contract. Spencer is expected to challenge Greg Ellis for time at outside linebacker after playing defensive end at Purdue. A vicious hitter, it would not be a surprise if Spencer is starting by mid-season.
