All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
KFFL has learned Oakland Raiders LB Darnell Bing has been waived from the team
Raiders released safety Darnell Bing.
The Raiders tried to convert Bing to linebacker, but it didn't work. Its a strong statement about Bing's ability that his former USC coach Lane Kiffin would cut him. Bing, the 101st pick last season, is the highest 2006 draftee cut to date.
Good to know he's already claimed wonder who it was?
I know, I feel shamed. (Slapshot reference) I was driving home from work and wasn't really listening, but I thought I heard them mention he was claimed. Man, I hate when people can't give links!
Panthers signed second-round C Ryan Kalil to a multi-year contract.
Kalil was a bit of a surprise pick, as Carolina already had solid depth at the pivot position, but was the best player available and is a fine fit for the zone-blocking scheme new coordinator Jeff Davidson will incorporate. Kalil will battle Justin Hartwig and Geoff Hangartner to start as a rookie.
49ers claimed S Darnell Bing off waivers from the Raiders.
This wasn't the best place for Bing to land if he wants to avoid bouncing around from team to team. He'll have a fight in front of him for a roster spot with the invaluable Keith Lewis and fourth-round rookie Dashon Goldson.
