Well if you go by stats he sure doesn't impress me a lot the guy is not a dominate player he is a complimentary type of player! Your thoughts? Go Bills!

His stats arnt impressive, but thats cause he alwasy drew double teams, and he allowed his LBs to run free.

Ted's stats weren't impressive his last year here either but boy did we miss him.

Thats' why I said he is a complimentary type of player! Yet he seems to think he should get a dominate type of player money. Let's face it TD offered him that contract for a rason and now he is possibly moving on and so am I. Heh I want Sam Adams here too but only if the price is right and he wants to bust his hump everyday like everyone else! Go Bills!

Everyone knows Sam Adams stayed in Buffalo for two weeks was because he's hooked on the wings, not waiting for TD's offer. He cancelled all other visits because those places don't have wings.

And now he's finally full. Move on big guy.

Numbers don't tell the true story on guys like that. They don't rack up huge #s but draw double teams so the linebackers and de's have a clearer path to the ball.

I agree that numbers don't always tell the story, but Adams is not the best pass rushing DT anyway. He's a run stuffer. He's not nearly as fast as he was w/ Baltimore and much of his appeal rests on his laurels of his Baltimore days.

He wasn't particularly impressive last year either for anyone who watched him. Actually, against T.B.'s less than stellar OL he didn't do jack. The Raiders had an extremely easy schedule as I pointed out from week 2 or 3. They played hardly any of the top rushing teams and when they did, they often had great games.

Adams is overrated and overvalued.

Ted Washington was a joke since he left here too. He can't play every down which means you now need two players to fill one starting role.

Let's wait and see who's in the draft or who gets cut on June 1st. I prefer draft.

I really think TD dropped the ball by not at least getting Thornton in here for an interview! We bring in all these ex-Titan and ex-Pittsburgh guys, but then when there's actually one worth acquiring, we don't even bother to talk w/ him.

Puzzling Indeed!

I'd like to get a DT who can be a pass rusher too. Holiday may be good for that.

Pat Williams has consistantly better stats than Adams and he too is always double teamed. IMO Adams is grossly over rated.

Agreed.

Here's a better page to see the progression w/ Adams. And last year w/ the Raiders he had a very good D around him, so his numbers should have been better.

Instead, they were the second worst of his career and you can easily see the trend here.

TD did the right thing. If he wants to play for the AFC's leading contender, then he'll sign for what TD offered!

He also missed several games last year due to injury. He'll be 31 this year.

I was looking for his SB stats and couldn't find any. Did he play in the SB or was he hurt for it?

Pat Williams was by far the best Defensive Lineman Buffalo had last year. Didn't he draw some extra blockers? He still wound up with 84 tackles. Compare that to Sam Adams' 22 Total Tackles.

As I've posted elsewhere, trust in TD. . .

Well TD and the staff interviewed him, and saw soemthing we know nothing about to low ball him.
I say we still want him, he wants to come here, and we will get him by the weekend.

Pat Williams is a what?

A Freaking

NINJA!!!!11!!!!

Sam would be a great addition to the team, but Pat is the freaking man.

Glock or Traylor would be good to, but we just need a big thug to fill up the middle, Pat is still the man.

The most underrated bill, and one of the best DTs in the AFC.

Pat came to buffalo to kick ass and take names, but he forgot his pen.

shame pat is gonna be 31 soon and he is old and over the hill.. his play has to drop drastically this year.. cuz he is so old.. so old.

Tatonka man snap out of it! Were not debating age it's about production and Adams hasn't been producing the last 2 years and Pat Williams is older and is still producing at a high level. Go Bills!
