(July 27, 2007) — Bills’ Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly isn’t buying Michael Vick’s claim that he was unaware illegal dog fighting competitions were being staged on one of his properties.

“The way I look at it, he’s lying,” Kelly told the Democrat and Chronicle exclusively after the Bills training camp workout this morning at St. John Fisher College.

Vick, the Atlanta Falcons star quarterback, was indicted on charges of illegal dog fighting Thursday and pleaded not guilty.

“If he is saying he had no idea, that doesn’t cut it,” said Kelly, who owns three dogs and says he finds the idea of dog-fighting despicable.

“I have a (second) house in Richmond, Va., and I know what goes on in my house even though I’m not there. I’d have to call (Vick’s defense) B.S.”

Kelly should run for office somewhere. It's refreshing to see someone who doesn't dodge questions and try to be politically correct and just tells it like it is.

Yeah, unfortunately people like that don't stand a chance in the political arena, or on very rare exceptions. Politics is fantasy world. There are far too many sheep out there that merely bleat in reaction to certain things yet that do not even have a handle on the basics of life and/or politics.

As to Vick, of course he's lying.

How is this any of Kelly's business. I love Jimbo but he is out of line with these comments. Everybody that is asked about vicks situation should just decline to give any comments. Thats the classy thing to do.
