All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

The offense. I expect it to emerge mid season as a top Offense in the league. Scary good. And with one or two extensions be stable for the next few years.
Which leaves the Defense. Well my expectations are at a plce that I can only be pleasently surprised. But they will be the focus for next offseason.
This year is the stepping stone year. Every great team has one.
In the end, there are only three liberal archetypes: The fools, the beneficiaries and the crooks.

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty. - John F. Kennedy, January 20, 1961
To live in the presence of great truths and eternal laws,
to be led by permanent ideals -
that is what keeps a man patient

and calm and unspoiled when the world praises him. -- Honore De Balzac

I expect our offense to be great. Long time since we've been able to say that. Our D is kind of looking scary at this point. I can only hope for the best.
Re: I am really looking forward to this, this year.
I know one thing - we'll be young and fresh and enthusiastic on D. Beats old and tired every time.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
Re: I am really looking forward to this, this year.
It'll be an interesting year for sure. The play and improvement of the offense will hinge on two things, Lynch and Losman finding his short-medium game.
It'll be interesting to see if Jan's notion of "freshness" as a result of the youth on D can overcome the experience and talent level, or rather the lack of it.
For now it's exciting. If we hang in there during the first half, it will remain that way. If we continually get taken to task then it won't be much fun.
