Anybody interested in going out for an Indian lunch on Saturday before the opener?...we'd make it early so you still have an appetite for the brew pub.

Indian food is the absolute worst! When goat is the best thing on the menu, you best go elsewhere.

Thankfully I won't be in Buffalo in time for an Indian lunch. :phew: I don't do funky foreign food. lol I'm no fun to take out because I don't like trying new food. I'm such a picky eater I'd make everyone miserable. :( My Dad would go with you though. He lives to try new things. lol

I have eaten in over 20 Indian restaurants in 4 different countries and have NEVER seen goat on the menu.

Indian food has a BAD reputation. I used to THINK that I would hate it. That's until I tried it. It was pretty good.

Sorry, Toronto is in Canada and that was one of the 4 countries...but I would bet that some Indian restaurant somewhere serves goat.

Totonto is in Canada? No wonder there were so many hosers up there.

I'm the (good) cook in our family & I like to make all kinds of different "ethnic" foods. I find I've been doing less & less of it, as my kids (5 & 7) are in the "fussy" stage right now.

Slovak/Polish/Russian - cabbage rolls, pirogies
French Canadian - Tortiere (meat pie), tarte au sucre
Greek - Souvlaki, Moussaka, Tzaziki
Chinese - you name it, I've probably made it
Thai - Pad Thai, curries
Indian - Curries, naan, papadums
Italian - Killer Lasagne...most pastas

One of my favorite breakfasts that i make is my own creation ; what I call a Spaghetti Western....Western omlette done with spaghetti sauce & mozz/parm cheese

& BTW, Earthquake, I've never had goat in Indian food either, although they do include lamb in some dishes.
You may be thinking West Indian i.e. Jamaica/Trinidad...they do curried/jerk goat, goat roti, etc....very similar to lamb...

My favorite is Chinese food, but the kind you get in Canada. They tell me San Francisco is supposed to have the best Chinese food but IMO it sucks.

Yet betcha! I love trying different things....and I was disappointed that I couldn't choose more than one in your poll. I went with Mexican, but I also love Chinese, Thai, Italian and just about anything else that I've tried. I'm the opposite of J7, I'm easy to please. :D

I have been advised not to comment on Ally's comment about being easy to please and willingness to try different things on the grounds that I might incriminate myself...and have mrs. eb throw something at me.

That's what I think too, MissB. When I was in San Francisco I wanted to go to China town and eat and I thought it was horrible!
