This is a good signing by the Raiders. I like Culpepper as long as he isn't wearing a Miami uniform.

He will suck just as bad in Oakland as he did in Minnesota and Miami.

actually, this probably helps his value - if he were to wind up starting and throwing like 10 INT's and getting sacked 40 times in the 1st half before getting benched in lieu of Russell, his value would have dropped even more.

now he can be the coveted backup QB with potential.

what I want to know is why Daunte would put himself in the situation I mentioned above instead of backing someone up for a year and upping his value.

Unless no one else wanted him I would think there would be a better situation out there.

Ok this signing makes absolutely no sense.

Pepp has been signed to a 1 year deal. Pepp has been stated that he won't be ready to play til 08.

Regardless of if JMarc signs a contract or not, Pepp won't see the field this year.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand this signing?

well that's almost word for word what he said last year. then again maybe another year of rehab has done him good. he stated that he had eight points of interest when choosing a team, but yet having a good o-line must not have been the eight since he signed with the Raiders.
