After continually hearing about how great the end of the season was for JP and the Bills I decided to run some numbers. JP's numbers over the last 7 games and then averaged over 16. They came out so shockingly good I compared them to Jimbo's career stats and I was astonished.

G Comp Att Comp% Yds Ypa TD Int
7 130 205 63.4 1553 7.6 12 8

16 game average of those numbers

G Comp Att Comp% Yds YPA TD INT
16 297 468 63.4 3549 7.6 27 18

Compared to Jimbo's career best seasons.

G Comp Att Comp% Yds YPA TD INT
1 2 4 3 3 4 2 8

Honestly I was very encouraged about the finsih to last season and was very excited about this one. But I never thought that JP played THAT well over the last 7 games. With the addition of Marshawn and an upgraded O-Line, we may be in for some special things from our QB.

I'm sure someone will find a way to spin this into a negative, but I get pretty excited looking at the possibilities.

Not sure how to fix that, let me try it this way.

As compared with Jimbo's best seasons, this is how the 16 game average worked out.

Completions= 2nd best compared to Kellys best season
Attempts=4th
Comp%=3rd
Yards=3rd
YPA=4th
TD's=2nd
INT's=8th

considering kelly is really the only legit qb we've ever had over a long stretch, i'm not really surprised by these numbers.

I disagree.

Joe Ferguson was a damn good QB.
