Bottom line is, stay away from being a top 5 bad team because it will cost you alot!

I hope that's not a benchmark because if it is... bye bye Lee.

10M+ a year for a WR is definitely sick. No way a team can afford to build a winner when they have such a weight to bear. What is going to happen when he gets injured?

These types of payouts will BK the league within 10 years.

To think they could have lowered the ticket prices and other costs for the FANS instead of overpaying these bums. I hate what has happened with the cap, we're not going to be able to keep anybody.

They should start giving rookies rookie contracts like the NBA does. Not the best money of their life, if they haven't proved anything. This is dumb.

Good for him. Now, he just needs to keep healthy and earn that cash. If Kitna is even average, that makes him 'bout 5 times the quarterback that Reggie Ball is, so Johnson should do well.

Yeah or like in hockey, which is a better example for us people in Buffalo. (NBA is :puke:)

Pat is that the base salary or what it could equal if all escalators are hit?

He better win 3 superbowl MVP's for that type of cash.

Agree 10000000000% this is just insane.

In another 3-5 years, as T said, guys are going to come in the league starting off at 75-100mil plus endorsements......top 5 picks will be worth 150-200mil from the get go.
