Who Gilbert Perreault fought in his first (and I believe only) fight?

Dan Maloney, Chicago Blackhawks. I think he got in at least one shot and either cut his eye or broke his nose...can't remember which

back at ya....

what team did Perrault score his 500th goal on..which makes him better than Gretzky because there was actually a "target" in the twines?

That wasn't the fight I was thinking of. It was during Perreault's rookie year.

Maybe it was Don maloney when he played for the Rangers...

The fight I remember was with John Ferguson, the former tough guy with the Canadiens. Once the league saw that Gil could handle himself with John, they left him alone.
