A little more insight on people's perception of our offense...

Hi Chris,

I am excited about our offense this year.

Do you see our offense as having the ability to hide some possible weakness' in our "D" by dominating the game and forcing the other teams offense into a more predictable pattern? Do you see run D as a potential "hot spot"

Also if you had to pick 1-2 Bills that will have abreakout year. At this point who are your guess(es)

Thank you

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
As spread out as Buffalo's offense might be this year, they still have to run the ball a lot because they can't keep a defense that relies on speed on the field too long. Speed isn't such an asset anymore when your defense has been on the field for 65-70 plays. Win time of possession, get ahead and hope the opponent's offense scraps the run and starts throwing. Run 'D' is still a concern of mine yes.

1-2 Bills to have breakout years. Keith Ellison, Lynch

Chris....

Is there any reason to beleive our run defense is going to be improved over last year? Same DTs, Same DEs, a large downgrade at CB (albeit only one spot) and a rookie MLB calling the plays have me expecting to see a repeat of last year, if not worse.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Your concerns are valid and I share them. We'll see just how much an improvement in overall team speed on defense can cover things up.

no, it wasn't me- I don't post over there.

But look at what he said in the first post where you quoted him- I've been saying the same thing all along- we have to run to keep the D off the field.

actually I said that wrong. I think Chris Brown is credible- I have doubts about his objectivity, ie, he's never going to say anything too negative about the team regardless of how factual it is.

in the BZ, no- the posts are exactly how I feel about the team.

I doubt it. I don't think the Bills defense is solid enough to allow the offense to run K-Gun or no huddle all the time. .

you spoke too soon OP. You both are obviously on the opposite side when it comes to the D.

I know. I just saw some of the same questions over there that you've asked so I posted his answers over here for you.

I'm sure the staff have the same concerns and it's not like I don't neither. We all might disagree with the ways to correct these issues but you have to believe the staff is aware of the team's deficiencies and are trying to correct them.

but you have to believe the staff is aware of the team's deficiencies and are trying to correct them.especially a staff that surpassed your expectations. That should at least gain the benefit of a doubt instead of just saying they are wrong.

I don't think there are too many people that are comfortable with our DL at the moment. We just don't need you banging on it 1,000 times or more.

Were you supposed to edit that?

I doubt it. I don't think the Bills defense is solid enough to allow the offense to run K-Gun or no huddle all the time. If the Bills offense goes 3 and out two or three series in a row, there's going to be a problem. The offense will have to use no huddle here and there, not all the time.

Hi Chris,

Is the speed of this defense easily apparent with pads on? I've been reading various camp reports and it seems a decent amount of tipped passes are getting intercepted by another defender closing in on the play. Can you see the defense flowing to the ball more then last year or is it just another defender being in the right spot at the right time?

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Combination, but the LBs look particularly faster. Not trying to knock Takeo or London, but this group is pretty darn quick.

McGee will be returning kicks.
