The Pioneer Press reports if the Minnesota Vikings are winless by the trade deadline in October 2008, it wouldn't be surprising if they dealt outspoken CB Antoine Winfield.

Would he be a good fit here? Yes.

Would the Bills ever pay him? No. That's a good thing and a bad thing- bad that we don't get a player of his caliber, good that we don't have to worry about the cap ramifications.

Winfeild could be the best tackling Cb in the game, but he is gettin up there and was slow to begin with, plus he wants alot of money, we got to solid vets in Thomas and Webster, and young potential in Greer, Bassey, Swanson and Youboty, no need to add here, we got to stick to our guns with our secondary, they are young and need time together, Pass

Come October, you guys will be begging for him. I don't know what his contract looks like, but if it's expiring. Take it on for the year, and hope he stops the bleeding enough for maybe a playoff run. I don't know.

His price tag is too high. However, if Youboty does not live up to expectations then we have to look at CB early in the draft along with WR and DT.

I was a huge Winfield fan when he was with Buffalo, but here I'd have to pass. Webster is the stop gap for this season at least, and from all reports is playing well enough in camp to start. With the overall youth movement on this team, bringing in high priced vets that have lost a step doesn't make any sense.
