    2008 NFL Draft Preview

    2008 NFL Draft Preview:

    1. Early Doucet-LSU-6’0-205lbs
After losing Craig Davis and Dwayne Bowe to the NFL this past April Doucet must step up and show that his Sugar Bowl performance was a sign of things to come. He’ll have to rely on a new QB in either Matt Flynn or Ryan Perrilloux but both have the skills to get him the ball.
Key Games: Oct. 6 v. Florida, and Nov. 23 v. Arkansas

    2. Harry Douglas-Louisville-5’11, 170lbs
Douglas is the undisputed #1 WR of a experienced and highly powerful Louisville offense. He has returning QB Brian Brohm with him to find him in the field and Junior Mario Urrutia to also help distract defenses from doubling Douglas all day.
    Key Games: Nov.8 @ WVU, and Nov.29 v. Rutgers

    3. Limas Sweed-Texas-6’5, 219lbs
Sweed returns for his senior year with 8 other returning Texas starters on the offensive side. Freshman of the Year QB Colt McCoy returns to Texas bigger and hopefully better. Look for Sweed to be the goto guy teamed up with fellow Senior Bill Pittman to keep Big 12 teams on their toes all season long.
Key Games: Oct. 6 v. Oklahoma, Oct. 27 v. Nebraska

    4. Marcus Monk-Arkansas-6-6, 217lbs
Monk is the biggest question mark among the senior WR class, because we are not sure who will be throwing him the ball. Casey Dick is the current starter but Houston Nutt is not married to him. Also Darren McFadden will likely get quite a few throws in.
Key Games: Nov. 10 @ Tennessee, Nov. 24 @ LSU

    5. Keenan Burton-Kentucky-6’2, 195lbs
Burton completes the senior trio that Rich Brooks will rely on to make his wildcats the surprise team in the SEC East. Many people may not know about Burton who quietly led the SEC in touchdown catches last season, and also is a dangerous kickoff returner.
Key Games: Oct.13 v. LSU, and Oct. 20 v. Florida

    6. DJ Hall-Alabama
    7. Adarius Bowman-Oklahoma State
    8. Andre Caldwell-Florida
    9. Maurice Purify-Nebraska
    10. Dorien Bryant, Purdue

    Falling Out:
Sammie Stroughter-Oregon State-Indefinite Leave of Absence from team for Personal Reasons
WR Derek Kinder-Pittsburgh-Torn ACL-OUT FOR SEASON

No guarantee, but he is surely a good kid. Has amazing ability but needs to put forward a more consistent effort. I only profile Seniors for right now because they cant go back to school, Ill do Juniors once they are declared.

Do you see a clear cut WR (junior/senior) who stands out from the rest of the pack?
