it is great to have all of the rookies signed for your team and have them participate in a full training camp

Wonder how long these negotiations will last? Quinn and Russell are getting all the attention in this round of hold outs, nobody notices that Revis still isnt signed.

Nothing like trading up for a guy and having him hold out...

I hope he holds out for a couple more weeks.

What the hell is wrong with these guys coming out of college and saying "I am not going to play until I get paid what I think I should get paid"?

It's ****ing rediculous. Brady Quinn was leading the charge but since he was forced to sign or face the possibility of never seeing the field this year, he had to give in.

I hope when the Jets finally sign Reevis, they make him sit at the bottom of the depth chart and make him a special teamer for at least this year.

Now he'll have an excuse when Lee Evans burns his ass for three TDs their first game.

                Re: Reevis still holding out

Right now it's about the length of Whitner's holdout last year. Didn't hurt him too much. Rookie holdouts aggravate the crap out of me also. Unfortunately, it happens every year and just about every team is impacted by a holdout at some point.

The problem is Reevis wants a 5 year deal like almost all of the other first rounders selected in his vicinity, and the Jets are trying to force him into signing for six.

The NFL really needs to set up a rookie wage scale that depends upon round and draft position. It's a set contract with no negotiation. This will protect teams from paying for busts and insure that all rookies are in camp with no excuses. None of these people have earned a dime yet they are calling for all of this cash. Also, a rookie wage scale will be a big kick in the balls to all of the agents.

I heard the same thing Pat. Which is kind of sleezy on the Jets part because if Revis is what I think he is then he is going to be one underpaid SOB mid-way through his contract.
