USAtoday: Lynch steps into high expectations in Buffalo camp

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills rookie Marshawn Lynch started the process of giving back before his NFL career began.
The running back held a camp for youngsters in his hometown of Oakland before reporting to his first training camp to assume the challenge of replacing Willis McGahee.
Lynch was that eager to serve as a role model.
"I come from the 'hood. We didn't really get to see too many athletes who made it," Lynch says. "We saw ones who had the potential to make it and got caught up in something. Thank God I'm one who made it this far. I just want to show kids it's possible."

What is about people from the hood that makes them always say they came from the hood? I think we figured out by now, you lived in the hood.

Not sure what you're getting at here. If he didn't say he came from the hood, how would we know?

Not all of us look at black guys with dreads and automatically assume they're from the hood.

I'll give him that. He definitely is more articulate than Willis McGahee was.

Very true. I've yet to remember an articulate Miami football player. Some talk like idiots (McGahee and Frank Gore), some fail wonderlics (Roscoe Parrish), and some go and on about relating football to war (Kellen Winslow, Jr.)

He is not gay, he is just a mannered feminist guy.
