    Madden/Franchise Mode Question..

Anyone know how to stop hof players that you previously unlocked from becoming free agents? I like to play the game realistically without having to go up against Sammy Baugh and YA Tittle every other week. Thanks for your help in advance!

I have Xbox 360 which is where this is an issue. I don't think there's anyway around it. For whatever reason, PS2, while inferior to Xbox 360, has more advanced features for Madden.

Anyway, I face the same problem...

You guessed it. I do have a 360 as well, it's kinda lame. Hopefully it's different for 08 though.

Yeah, that annoyed the crap out of me last year as well! Sammy Baugh was like top of every stat column once he was signed as an FA.

Here is a good preview for Madden 08 if anyone hasn't already read up on it. I like the new addition of weapons for each player. Can't wait for Tuesday...

That's what we're trying to figure out, no way that I know of, and it appears I'm not the only one.

Theres no way around it unless you dont save your madden gamer level. Once they were unlocked there is no way around it tho. Once ur madden gamer level reaches like 3 or something it automatically unlocks those players. Very very very stupid. Madden 07 for 360 is probally the worst football game ever made. From what I hear though 08 is supossed to be the real deal.
The last time the Bills made the playoffs was 1999.

                    Nope.

It makes franchise mode so stupidly unrealistic it's not even funny.

                        Re: Madden/Franchise Mode Question..

This is just another example why the Madden franchise is boring the hell out of me. When I buy a sports game, I want it to be as realistic as possible. I am not a big fan of legends making a comeback well into their 80s and dominating the league.

I also can't stand the fact that a 350lb DT can run down a RB who can run a 4.3 well past the LOS.

And let's not forget that LBs can intercept the ball with their back to the QB.

And everyone can jump 14 feet.

And you thought Tim Anderson sucked in real life? Wait till you see him on Madden. He can make a couple of tackles, sacks, and even an interception.
