1. Jon Carlson-Notre Dame-6’5, 255lbs
Carlson remains the only real hold over from a fluid Irish attack last season. He will be relied upon heavily with new freshman QB Jimmy Clausen likely to see a lot of action this fall. Carlson is a big play TE who can really get down the field.
Key Games: Sept. 15 @ Michigan, Oct. 20 v. USC

2. Fred Davis-USC-6’4, 260lbs
With the loss of Lane Kiffin to Oakland new offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian takes over and will keep much of the same offensive philosophy along with a new concentration on the TE. Davis becomes key to keeping the Trojans moving down the field while Patrick Turner and Vidal Hazelton become more at ease with being starters.
Key Games: Oct.20 @Notre Dame, Dec.1 v. UCLA

3. Jacob Tamme-Kentucky-6’5, 240lbs
The fourth big senior at Big Blue this season will be Woodson’s outlet if Burton is covered and Little is struggling. Tamme has the speed to run the seam pattern and can make catches in traffic, he could really emerge in the SEC this year.
Key Games: Oct.13 v. LSU, and Oct. 20 v. Florida

4. Martin Rucker-Missouri-6’4, 245lbs
Rucker could be the best TE in the nation however he has to split time and catches with another amazing TE in Junior Chase Coffman. Make no mistake about it however Rucker is one of the best TE in the country and makes this a very strong TE class.

5. Joe Jon Finley-Oklahoma-6’6, 260lbs
Finley is a big target for Oklahoma and one of Oklahoma’s three good TE’s. He splits time a lot and with Oklahoma’s return to the wishbone his time may even further decrease, however when on the field Finley provides not only a safety valve but a guy who can break a big play.
Key Games: Sept.8 v. Miami, and Oct.6 v. Texas

6. Kory Sperrey-Colorado State
7. Dustin Keller-Purdue
8. Chris Hopkins-Toledo
9. Tom Santi-Virginia
10. John Tereshinski-Wake Forest

We signed Royal for alot of money and he has been solid but not spectacular and we cant wait on Everett for much longer, so if we dont see more production do we go with a top flight TE in this draft?
