One obvious key to a better passing game is less of this happening, which of course goes hand-in-hand with better pass protection. I pulled this from footballoutsiders.com. According to the chart, Losman had the 5th most pass attempts last year that were "hit in motion, tipped at line, thrown away". Obviously getting hit in motion and throwing the ball away are usually a direct result of bad pass protection (though plenty of times are WR had trouble getting open). Hopefully Dockery, Walker and Whittle can help remedy this a little bit. Hit in Motion/Tipped at Line/Thrown Away | ||||||

Re: Hit in Motion/Tipped at Line/Thrown Away
Walter was pretty low on that list, while Aaron Brooks was really high. Hopefully the Raider OL wasn't that bad, lets just blame it on Brooks.
