Yes Im aware the laws you were referencing were those that deal with underage Cigarettes. Where it is not illegal to smoke under 18 but is to possess but the common misconception with that interpretation is that possession is proven by simply holding it in your hand. So unless you smoke with somebody else holding the cigarette for you then its almost impossible to not possess one.
