All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
This has got to be some kind of a joke!
I really thought the Pats would let this guy go but they seem to believe they are smarter then the rest of the NFL.
Come on guys, there has to be better options!
Testaverde is in his 21st NFL season and has played in 226 NFL games with 208 starts since entering the league with Tampa Bay in 1987. He currently ranks in the top 10 in NFL history in four major passing categories. He ranks sixth in NFL history with 45,281 passing yards and also places sixth in league annals with 3,693 career completions. His 270 career touchdown passes rank eighth in NFL history, and his 6,529 career attempts rank seventh. Testeverde is a veteran of 20 seasons with Tampa Bay (1987-92), Cleveland (1993-95), Baltimore (1996-97), the New York Jets (1998-2003, 2005) Dallas (2004) and New England (2006) and is the only player in NFL history to pass for at least one touchdown in 20 consecutive seasons.
Proof positive that career statistics mean nothing.

To be fair to the pessimists, I have to say.... Wally I don't think we have the right to be questioning moves made by a team that has owned us for half a decade and has 3 times the no. of sb rings we have in recent memory.
If you want to question the fins moves , that's different.

To be fair.....That is a dumb move not matter how you want to cut it!
I really don't see the problem. Could Vinny be a smart tactician who is able to see what the other team is doing and where his own team is faultering...sort of a coach in uniform...if the Pats win the SB again they will get the last laugh and if they don't I don't suspect it will be because VT is the 3rd QB.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
