1. Carson Palmer, QB, Southern California: He hasn't done anything to make him drop from the top spot. The only question is whether the Bengals will take him with the first pick. Board status: Steady.

2. Terrell Suggs, DE, Arizona State: Now that he's up to 260 pounds, he has put aside any doubts about him. His workout March 26 will solidify his spot as the second player on this board. Board status: Steady.

3. Terence Newman, CB, Kansas State: He wowed the scouts at the combine and at his Pro Day with his amazing speed and athletic ability. He's a shutdown cover corner in every sense of the word. Board status: Rising.

4. Charlie Rogers, WR, Michigan State: He was smaller than some scouts thought at 6-foot-2, but he still has big-time speed. There are a few teams that like Miami's Andre Johnson better. Board status: Steady.

5. Jimmy Kennedy, DT, Penn State: He has all the tools, but he did turn off some teams with his attitude at the combine. Some teams have him as a clear No. 1 defensive lineman. Board status: Steady.
