    Defensive Ends?

Does anybody know if there are any defensive ends out in free agency or that could be possible cuts in the next couple weeks?

Good question. This organization cannot sit back and expect miracles from these young guys. They need to be more proactive and get some players in here at both the DT spot and the DE spot.

I think a team is always looking good when they have to consider signing other team's cuts.

Of course we know about the veteran guys: Simeon Rice and Marcellus Wiley. I think Wiley is worth thinking about. He's got good size. He's not as old as some guys still in the league, and he's waitng for a call. Rice wants bigger bucks than the Bills are going to want to pay, and a guarranteed starting position which the Bills aren't likely to concede.

I'm sure the Bills maintain an thorough database of defensive ends in the league and will be watching the waiver wire closely.

Simon Rice is still out there and he's younger then Strahan.

I saw on another board the suggestion that Tyler Brayton might be cut by Oakland.

Wiley would be a great fit and I think he can still play.
The guy is a great locker room infuence also!

Proactive doesn't seem to be in any of the sport team's vocabulary here in Buffalo.

Didn't we already try the Marcellus Wiley thng a while ago? We brought back Price and we all know how that is turning out.

I think if we look at them

Michael Haynes didn't really do anything with the Bears but did he get a real shout? The Jets play 3-4 mainly so he's not much of a fit there but would be add reasonable depth

Tyler Brayton would also be a decent pick up - he's suffered from being shunted all over the place with the Raiders

Over at the Vikes, they have 3 ends in Erasmus James, Damion Scott and Kenechi Udeze; of them I think Udeze will be released as they'd probably not want to carry to R1s in the same position if they can carry James and Scott

Either way 2 from Haynes, Brayton and Udeze/James/Scott and there would no longer be a problem
