EDWARDS GETS MORE WORK: It's pretty evident at this point that the coaching staff is trying to expose Trent Edwards to as much as possible in the practice setting to get him up to speed with the offense. He's getting significantly more work than Craig Nall. As a result it's aiding his ability to compete for the backup QB job behind J.P. Losman. It's going to be very interesting to see what Nall's playing time is going to look like on Friday night after not getting an opportunity at all last week. If Edwards continues to perform as he has in the last two preseason games, Nall will need to really shine to convince the coaches to keep him in the number two slot. Of course he needs to get that opportunity first.

Agreed.

I hope that Edwards is #1 by the time we start the season! At this rate nobody is slowing this superstar in the making down!!

I hinestly don't have much faith in JP and if he doesn't perform well up until the bye week I wouldn't be surprised to see Trent Edwards starting in week 7 vs. Baltimore.

Buffalo fans are going to have to get used to the fact that Craig Nall may be traded for defensive help and his contract is considerable.
Trent Edwards may not need 2 years to develope and may be a faster posible starter.
I am going with Losman but the kid may make some waves!

The only way JP ddoesn't play 16 games this year is if he is injured. Get used to it. This is his make or break year with the Bills. If his stats improve from last year, he get;s his extension.

well the Falcons already signed Harrington- a weak armed QB's with no accuracy seems like the perfect back up.

The Eagles took one off our hands already.

Difference is Holcomb is accurate but the weak arm part is right. Plus he was a garbage throw in anyways.

OP, I'm sure they don't want to create a QB controversy lol

Why is this even shocking? I knew Edwards would be the backup and there is no doubt that Nall has already been relegated to number 3.

Injury is the ONLY way Trent starts and/or gets any serious playing time this season IMO.

I hinestly have a ton of faith in JP to improve upon last season.

But I would say Edwards does look better and more poised then JP did in his 1st 2 seasons of developement here, and I am pretty damn happy Marv and Co. had the guy rated high and trusted their board when he was there for us in the 3rd.

If JP regresses this year most everyone will want to see what Edwards can offer next year, or towards the end of this season.

No way they deal Coleman for Nall

Justa which CB?

21 DeAngelo Hall CB 23 5-10 197 4 Virginia Tech
41 Antoine Harris CB 25 5-10 190 1 Louisville
23 Chris Houston CB 22 5-11 188 R Arkansas
30 David Irons CB 24 5-11 188 R Auburn
26 Omare Lowe CB 29 6-1 195 6 Washington
20 Allen Rossum CB 31 5-8 178 10 Notre Dame
29 Lewis Sanders CB 29 6-1 210 8 Maryland
24 Jimmy Williams CB 23 6-2 216 2 Virginia Tech

You can pretty much assume that anyone in red would be unavail

Buffalo should showcase Nall more in the preseason if they are interested in trading him. If he gets no PT in preseason games, no one is going to want him.

Guess it goes both ways, but I thought he looked decent enough in his first game.

Yea I agree, Justin Beck may not be a bad target, ATL has decent LB depth and we could use some.

Lewis Sanders isn't actually all that bad of a dime corner.

Not great, but not terrible either.

And definitely not someone the Falcons would trade to get Nall.
