NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Bills are preparing to sign DE Aaron Schobel to a massive contract extension.

It'll be interesting to see if Schobel, a complete player coming off 14.5-sack campaign, winds up with more money than Dwight Freeney. Schobel had three years remaining on the six-year deal he signed in September of 2004.

Schobel has 3 years left.... seems like a bit early to be re-signing the guy to a mega deal.

I hope Evans is next on the list for long term deals, and I hope it gets done sooner then later. In fact Evans should of been extended 1st IMO.

He was very underpaid, though. The fact is you pay for premium pass rushers, left tackles and QB. He is a key piece of the pie.
