QB Eakin, K/P Fitzpatrick, LB Manning, CB Lewis, CB Thompson, and WR Morgan.

Surprised about Morgan. I thought he had an outside chance as the #6 WR (If they kept 6).

I think they have to cut one more to get down to 75, as Eakin and Fitzpatrick had exemptions.

Actually, they need to release 4 more, as the roster exepmtions are expiring.

Buffalo's brass made their initial move in trimming the roster to 75 players releasing a half dozen from their ranks Monday.

Quarterback Kevin Eakin, punter/kicker D.J. Fitzpatrick, cornerback Reggie Lewis, linebacker Roy Manning, wide receiver Donovan Morgan and cornerback Chris Thompson were all released.

NFL Europe exemptions are no longer applicable so Buffalo still needs to remove four players from their roster by 4 pm Tuesday to reach the required 75 players. NFL International player Daniel Watts does not factor into the roster totals since he will be on the team's practice squad this year.

Lewis I had high hopes for when signed after the draft

Morgan I am shocked is cut already

I'm wondering and hoping that the Morgan cut was done under the radar so they can bring him back to the practice squad..... :pray:

Yeah, I loved watching him stand on the sidelines and do nothing all training camp long. He was a good clipboard holder. :snicker:
