All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

EVANS UNLIKELY TO PLAY THURSDAY: Lee Evans has a sore calf and head coach Dick Jauron called Evans a "longshot" to play Thursday night in the preseason finale. He did not practice today.

Calf injuries are funny that way. If you gamble and take the chance playing on it, you risk injuring a hamstring or the other calf (as you tend to favor one leg). No need to put (argueably) the Bills best player on the field at risk.
It doesn't sound too serious, but I don't see any reason to play him. Let him rest it.
I think it was a nagging hamstring injury for Moulds that ruined a promising 2003 season. Or maybe it was his groin. Either way, it killed our offense.
CROWELL GUTTING IT OUT: Angelo Crowell has been practicing the last couple of days, but has been gutting it out. He doesn't appear to be his usually fluid fast-moving self as the swollen knee that kept him out of a week of training camp practices still appears to be affecting him. No word on whether he's a longshot to play Thursday night, but it wouldn't be surprising if he's rested.
Bruce Smith made a career out of swolen knees. I can't remember him participating in a single training camp... scope and clean this... renegotiate that.
