5:59 PT: The Kansas City Star reports the Kansas City Chiefs are still in pursuit of a backup RB. President/GM Carl Peterson has said the Chiefs would like to talk with free agent RB Emmitt Smith (Cowboys), but no visit appears imminent. "People tend to forget that we have Tony Richardson here," coach Dick Vermeil said. "My first thought is the first true backup for that position is Tony Richardson. Now, he's been unfortunate the last couple of years because he's been banged up. But I have confidence in him as a runner. Is he Priest Holmes? No, but there aren't many Priest Holmeses out there." The Chiefs also visited with free agent RB Shawn Bryson (Bills) last week.
