    Lewis to sign three-year deal worth $3 million

    The Jacksonville Jaguars are shopping for veterans till they drop, apparently. The latest player added to the cart: unrestricted free agent return specialist Jermaine Lewis, who reached a contract agreement Wednesday.

    Lewis, once one of the NFL's premier return men before suffering a rash of injuries last season, will sign a three-year contract worth about $3 million.

    Released by Houston last month for salary cap reasons, the 28-year-old Lewis is the sixth veteran Jacksonville has added to its roster.

    Lewis drew ardent interest from at least three other teams -- Baltimore, Washington and Cincinnati -- at the outset of the free agency period. But the Ravens and Redskins dropped out of the chase this week and the Jaguars were able to outbid Cincinnati despite a hard sales pitch from new Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis
