All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I don't know- Greer had a bad game and Youboty made some nice tackles but struggled in coverage. Aside from that, we're just short handed at the position. The only CB that will get cut is Bassey.
Webster is Webster. He'll make the team and be adequate.
I am hoping someone shakes loose for a trade in the next week. He'll i would take a flyer on Phillip Buchanon right now. That being said, if we have the proper expectations(ie a poor, young defense that hopefully will improve through the course of the season) then Youboty should be the starter. Unfortunately, Donte Whitner and Simpson are looking at a bunch of criticism because they are going to spend a good bit of their season covering up the CB deficiencies on that side, to the detriment of their stats.
How did Webster go from being a good veteran pickup to such a bust??
That's a good question. Everyone was so high on him in camp, but as soon as the preseason games started, he did nothing. Maybe he's one of those "workout warrior" guys who look great in practice but can't bring it on the field when it counts (or in this case, sort of counts).
Either way, I'm not encouraged by a guy who struggles so bad when a starting job and maybe even a roster spot are at stake.
