All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

If we had Bledsoe I could see going with 2 for he was so durable but I think Bills will wait until week 2 and pick up a veteran caller without needing to guarentee the salary for entire year.

Outside of the freak training camp injury, and the fake injury Mularkey made Losman sit the bench for, JP has been durable as heck.
On the other hand, none of that matters, because one hit can change anything.
Also, Edwards was an injury prone player in college, so if anything happens to JP, there is no guarentee Edwards would make it through many games.
Basically, I agree with you, is what I'm trying to say.
I was under the impression that you could have an 'extra' roster slot for a 3rd string QB, with special rules that if he played the other two had to sit the rest of the game, or something like that.
Maybe that's just for game-day rosters, tho. I dunno.
"'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"
You can activate the 3rd QB from inactive game day roster list but if you do it in Q1-3 the other QBs can not play anymore that game. Does not affect 53 man roster.
we go with 2 qb's. If JP goes down , we cut another player and bring in an emergency qb while Edwards who seems to be a very able qb is our qb. Sounds good?
I think the Bills will add a QB to the practice squad. Teams that carry only two guys on the active roster invariably carry a QB on the PS. Zabransky is certainly a candidate. I think the Bills will look for someone with at least a decent arm because of Fairchild's downfield passing offense. It makes no sense to bring in a noodle arm when such a big part of Fairchild's strategy is the vertical passing game.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
Question.... Is there any chance that the Bills take a look at Carson Palmers' little brother Jordan? He does have the strong arm and is in dire need of a practice squad year or two, IMO!!
