All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

when has anyone come in off the practice squad and played in a game? for the most part, the PS QB is there just to let the defense play off of during practice.
The negativity on every bills decision is getting ridiculous.
Obviously Eakin's main attribute to make him attractive to the Bills as a PS QB is his familiarity with the system. If worst comes to worst and the Bills actually have to put him on the field in a game, they won't have to run a completely stripped down vanilla offense.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
Signing Eakin to the PS is a good move...especially if he knows the offense and god forbid has to see some action on Sundays.
I am a little alarmed at not signing a veteran to be the third stringer though. It just seems like with one injury on many positions of importance we're screwed. On top of the fact we're 18 million under the cap, it's not like we can't afford to go out and get some depth at a few places, just in case. Like WR, DE, LB for example. But we need like 10 DBs instead I guess.

You kiddin me?
Jabrari Greer will be playing nose tackle by week five the way this defense is looking. Interestingly, he could have zero sacks for the season and it would put him tied with the output for Kyle Wililams, Tim Anderson and John McCargo for 2006.

The reason that we are signing a QB to the practice squad is that the Bills need all the spaces that they can get on the 53-man roster.
So far I haven't seen the "extra space" on the 53 man roster utilized.
Lets see...3 DE's that are useless. 2 injured, 1 that's suspended for 4 games, mind you, they're ALL taking up roster spaces.
That's what happens when you don't have ONE GOOD player and settle for a stable of mediocrity. Having 3 average DE's doesn't amount to having 1 that can actually contribute to our piss poor run D. Same goes with the DT's. You realize we have the following players on our D-line:
Jason Jefferson
Tim Anderson
John McCargo
Kyle Williams
Kelsay
Tripplett
Schobel
Hargrove
Denney
Powell
Rian Neill
That's 10 guys, TEN!!!!! To play 4 positions! Not to mention the dude we just signed and got injured too, thats 11 total!
So...we have more depth at Dline, which only requires 4 players to be on the field, and less depth at Oline where 5 guys need to be on field.
Does this not sound right to anyone else here? Our Oline depth is CRAP! We're SCREWED if ANY of our oline guys goes down. Guess who comes in if one does...Butler, Whittle, or Chambers.
God help us if it comes down to those bums!
I just can't believe the logjam of absolute crap on our Dline. I wonder how much money we're throwing at our Dline alone on this team. Our dline that contributes to one of the worst run Ds in the league.
