Per the Colorado Springs Gazette:

After Simeon Rice’s first practice, Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan speculated the team’s newly acquired defensive end might play 15-20 snaps Sunday.

“I’m not really sure yet until he really practices and we get a chance to see him for a couple of days,” Shanahan said Wednesday.

Sounds like he'll be a situational rusher.

from what i gathered in the adam schefter report from nfl.com........ as well as some of the denver media, rice for the first few weeks will be situational on 3rd down and goalline

No biggie. He hasn't even had time to gel with that team, and I'm not threatened by him at all. He'll prolly have a few good plays, but I doubt it'll be enough to sway a win.

btw, ya'll seem obsessed with him.
