All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
"Since it's voted on by their teammates, it's clear that they have the respect and the faith and the trust of their teammates," said Jauron. "In my opinion that extends beyond the lines of the field. They need to be leaders off the field too and represent their teammates, this team and this organization in a manner that'll make everybody proud including them."
The Bills have always elected team captains each season, but the league is making a greater effort to recognize them. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's new Player Advisory Council has spearheaded a league-wide initiative to have captains recognized with a 'C' embroidered on each of their jerseys.
"Team captains are a key element in building team leadership and enhancing communication between players, coaches and management," said Ray Anderson, NFL executive vice president of football operations who will oversee the program. "The players themselves suggested the concept of re-emphasizing team captains."
Jauron is hoping that the leadership displayed by his team's captains will not just be between the sidelines.

Goodell may be the best thing that ever happened to the NFL.

Obviously Kelsay's teammates don't know how much he sucks.
Coy Wire is a suprise here. Maybe this is his year?
That doesn't surprise me actually. He has always struck me as a great team guy and a good leader. It just didn't always translate on the field when he was a safety. I'm not a big Coy Wire fan. Images of him being torched by Tom Brady and others are burnt into my brain however I'm willing to give him a fresh start as a LB. Time will tell.
What the hell is Schobel doing that he isnt a leader?
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

He's not the kind of vocal leader that would make a captain. They have said that many times. He's more of a leader on the field by making plays and all that. He's never been that outspoken. Very quiet actually. You should see him at camp, he hardly smiles and is pretty quiet.
