He's unsigned to the best of my knowledge, but I doubt we'd sign him.

Makes too much sense. Won't happen.

I think he visited with the Bills so unless they saw something they didn't like in him I'd say bring him in now!

He HAS to be better than Leonhard

I believe Darius signed with Oakland. I looked into that this morning.

He was released on 9/1. He is currently a FA.

He did.

I'm pretty sure he was cut after the pre-season though.

His player page says he plays for Oakland but neither the Raiders roster nor the depth chart have Darius listed.

I think Tony Parrish or Marcus Coleman are stronger possibilities. But ya never know.

I"m pretty sure they're going to do something though. Wilson and Wendling aren't ready and Leonhard should not be starting.

I think Darius is a strong safety not a free safety like Simpson.
Maybe that's why they haven't brought him back yet.

He was close to being signed before. I could definitely see him brought in again. Let's hope they sign him.

He HAS to be better than Jim "freakin" Leonhard!

Even if he is a SS instead of a FS seems a guy thats been in the league a few years would be able to switch positions..

If he would sign a 1yr deal..

We're not going anywhere this season. Why not let Wendling, Wilson and Leohnard get their lumps now? Lets add another 30+ vet that's in decline, it worked out great with Webster.

SS and FS are pretty different plus he's not even that familiar with the Cover 2.

They better sign him soon because a number of teams lost their starters at safety yesterday. However, I'm sure the Bills will find someway to screw it up.

Big difference between SS & FS, especially with an aging vet who has lost a step.
FS must have great range to cover the deep passing routes. I don't think Darius would fit.

Just out of curiosity- if the worst team in the NFL cut the guy- what does he have left to offer?

Let Wendling start
