With 90 rushing yards in his NFL debut Marshawn Lynch set a team record for most rushing yards by a rookie in a season opener surpassing Bills Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas who previously held the record after rushing for 86 yards in his rookie debut on Sept. 4, 1988 against Minnesota. Lynch also added a 23-yard touchdown run.

Why didn't Wright see the field? He is a bruising back that could have spelled Lynch and pounded on the Bronco defenders. A-Train looked very slow out there. I am assuming they wanted a veteran handling the ball late in the game to try and avoid a fumble.
