the best part was listening to don cherry after the 1st intermission lambasting his fellow Canadians in Montreal.the U.S.A flag tie that he had on was great.he really let the Prime Minister have it too.i've always been a fan of don cherry but after that interview,i have much more respect for him.

Don Cherry's like the Canadian version of Madden with an edge, one of those larger than life characters that everybody loves.
He is the ultimate *****-disturber.

He tried to do US TV down in Pittsburgh maybe 5-10 years back and they basically ran him out of town on a rail.

the point was that he was a great coach and is now a fantastic analyist, and I was trying to establish why Ally thinks he's an idiot...but failed miserably so I guess he's just an idiot...that is an idiot that probably knows more about the game we all love than any 5 people on here put together!

The game was great!! The atmosphere was awesome.. I went to it at the ACC on Sat.. and it was a pleasant experience.. glad we got at least a point out of it.. even though we deserved better..

Maybe next time.. GO SABRES!

Cherry was right about the seamless glass. He was right about the black netting, the kevlar elbow pads and the no touch icing. I always try to catch a HNIC intermission for Coaches Corner.

If there was an idiot in the booth Saturday, it was that socialist Ron McLean thumbing his nose at the US.

The funny part is that all the intermissions are brought to you by that fine Canadian company - Ford.

yeah..and cherry laid into him too.mclean had no choice but to sit there like a mope.that's what he got for asking The Coach how he felt about it.
