There are almost 2000 players in the NFL. We saved money so we could sign #'s 2001 thru 2003?

This was a joke, in case no one got it.

If you get a call from Bill Walsh on his deathbed telling you to play any player you have to rethink everything. I mean think about, Bill Walsh is telling you this kid has it. God needed some coaching help, that's why he took Bill Walsh.
