Kevin Everett's mom addresses team

I saw on SportsCenter tonight that KE's mom addressed the team as a whole on Friday and told them that Kevin wants them to focus on the game on Sunday and not worry about him. I think this will go a long way in motivating them and getting them ready to play on Sunday.

As it should...

But it shouldn't take a life threatening injury for an NFL team to leave it all on the field each and every week. Games can be won with heart alone, if the circumstances are right. They were right last week, but not everyone, to include the coaches, gave everything.

I'm glad she did it. It shows the family isn't wallowing in self pity. Self pity is the enemy of recovery. It may help the team keep its head on straight about this whole thing too.
