    Our Third Down Defense

Embarrassing, pitiful, totally unacceptable. How can you have all of these third and longs and then give up 20 plus yard completions for a first down?!?! The main culprit is ZERO ****ing passrush. If you look at all of the good defensive rush teams they have a couple of bigbody roadgraders up on the line. This small, fast, and supposedly disruptive DL philosophy is a freakin joke! This has been going on for waaaay too long now, it needs to be fixed immediately. Marv, I don't care if you trade away our next two number one draftpicks and run us up against the cap. get off your old, waaaay too patient ass and get some meangingful DL help in here. You dropped the ball when you let Walker from Philly slip away, he's looking pretty damn good right now. Quit being a cheapass and start fixing this freakin league embarrassment.

Not one iota. Our 3rd down defense has been this way for the last 5 years. Poz is an animal and is holding his own. It is nice to see a LB finally sniff out a play and make the stop at the LOS or behind it, not 8 yards downfield. Things got a little sloppy at the end of the game, but I think out LB corps are a definite upgrade over what we had.

Poz is already a HUGE upgrade over Fletcher.

i, too, am impressed with Poz.

i was just trying to bust Church's balls.
Unfortunately my skills aren't on par with Double E's...

It's disgusting watching teams move the ball at will against us. 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 20 it don't matter - we can't get any semblance of pressure on the QB and we can't stop the run either.

Against Denver, the third down really wasn't bad. They sucked against the Steelers, though.

That won't be fixed until they start sending more guys, taking more chances.

They are sending people and they still aren't getting to them, that's what is really distressing. No 25 got jacked up everytime they sent him in. Against Denver all I can think of was their last drive when it was 3rd and 26.
