The Afternoon Blitz was just interviewing Cincy QB Carson Palmer and he relesed the information that his brother Jordan just had a workout with the Bills. I'm looking for a link on this now. He might not be the answer but he should provide decent depth if added to the squad.

Palmer was a guy I was interested in the Bills outright drafting in April. He played fairly decently in college and has the pedigree. I'd be all for him being our third option ahead of Freakin Eakin.

Obviously, he wouldn't be brought in as a starter or even option to be a starter...he's a project with upside.

If he's half as good as his brother, it's 10x better than what we have right now.

I would absolutely love it if they signed him. Kid has as much potential as Carson but just couldnt put it all together in College. Kid was dynamite for UTEP one year though.

I can't find anything about the Bills giving him a tryout, but again, it was reported by the kids brother.

You guys sure you want another QB from Conference USA?

John Guy schedules potential players to come in and work out all the time, much like other teams. It's a " just in case of injuries " scenerio.

About 2% of these guys actually sign. I read nothing into this.

I finally got a response on this from the Bills Bulletin main man:

Oftentimes it is to have up to date numbers and figures on potential additions in the event that they need to add one because of injury. Jordan Palmer wasn't the only QB in for a workout. Unfortunately I'm prohibited from naming names.

I wouldn't expect them to add a 3rd QB with all the injury problems they have at other positions. THey need bodies they can use on the field every week, not one that holds a clipboard.

Chris,

While listening to Sirius' Afternoon Blitz yesterday, Cincy QB Carson Palmer was being interviewed and he indicated that his younger brother Jordan just had a workout with the Bills. Can you validate this and do you have any information on how that workout might have turned out?

Thanks,

Yeah, I thought so as well. What can it honestly hurt to say who was in for a look or not?

Palmer has an arm like Holcomb, thus the reason he wasn't drafted. But I would still take him over Eakin.

What? Jordan Palmer has a very good arm, his accuracy was his big problem

What are you talking about. Ever watch him play ? His arm is nowhere near his brothers.
