After 2 games he was worth the contract. The rest of the line will get better but we stink at run blocking. I'm starting to think that McNally blows. Lynch had as hard a time running on the left side as the right side.
Derrick Dockery is our best lineman.

Walker is awesome, but he's 30. By the time we're good he'll be 40. I'm glad we got the draft pick instead.

That would help solve 3 problems.
1) Pathetic run stopping
2) Pathetic pass rush that leaves the secondary out to dry.
3) Pathetic offenseLast edited by TacklingDummy; 09-19-2007, 09:14 AM.

Re: Derrick Dockery is our best lineman.
during the Donahoe days, they took the cheap way out and went with McNally, thinking he could make second-rate OL's into legit starters. It didn't work out, but in McNally's defense, he hasn't had much to work with.
Now, no excuses. Peters and Dockery have definite talent. Fowler- meh. Walker is at worst average and Butler is more or less a question mark. The talent is there- time to get it right.
So far, though, I don't think the OL is the problem in the passing game. They are hit or miss in the run game, which is still improved over last year.

the OL has had their fair share of mistakes during the game especially when it came to picking up the blitzes. I do believe they will get better and become one of the better OL's. Other than Fowler and Peters, the rest are new with Butler barely having any experience.
