Jason Taylor loves winning, especially when he beats the New York Jets. The Miami Dolphins defensive end has even more motivation than usual for this game.

"There's no bigger way to get ready for the next week than to have the Jets coming up," Taylor said. "It's obviously a big game for both teams and the rivalry is there. The need to get a win on both teams is there, so it adds that much fuel to an already fiery situation."

Miami's veteran LB could miss game

Dolphins middle linebacker Zach Thomas underwent tests Thursday for a possible concussion, and he may miss Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

Thomas played every snap in Miami's loss last week to Dallas but said he felt "a little lightheaded" in the locker room after the game, coach Cam Cameron said. Thomas complained of a migraine Wednesday and missed practice, which led to the tests.

The Jets hold a 43-38-1 lead in their all-time series with Miami, including a home-and-home sweep of their long-time AFC East rival last season. New York scored a 20-17 home victory when the teams met in Week 6, and outlasted the Fins by a 13-10 count in south Florida in Week 16. The Jets have now won five of the last six in the series, with the Dolphins' only win over that stretch coming at home (24-20) in the 2005 season. Miami is 0-3 in road games in the series since last winning at the Meadowlands in 2003.

Of these two teams?...Go JETS! Royal green is prettier than teal & orange, and they're also my sons favorite team. He always roots for the Bills to beat Miami & NE, so I've gotta give him my support on this one.

I call that brainwashing. Thank God my dad didn't make me a Pats fan. :phew:
