I'd say Campbell gets the C
A's could be any 2 of the following... Gaustad, Lydman, Max, or maybe Vanek

Max needs to show some leadership now that he's one of the most tenured members of the team... and Vanek is perhaps the most talented, but he is still very young yet.

I guess Hecht would probably be considered for an A as well.

On NHL 08, I believe the captain is Teppo, with the A's going to Spacek and Hecht. There's something I'd really not like to see duplicated in reality.

Has there ever been a goalie as the captain? I know it would be strange, but Miller really is the glue for this team, and the true "captain."

More realistically, I agree with most on the Campbell nod, but I don't think Vanek should be considered. He's going to have a lot of pressure on his shoulders as it is this season!

If there's one topic where fans can never give an informed opinion, it's this. Choosing the leader of a team requires being in that locker room and on the ice. Anyone who thinks so-and-so should be (or shouldn't be) the captain is saying he knows that player better than his teammates and coach.
