Im sorry, but I can't take a mock draft seriously that has Leftwich at 27.

IF Leftwich is there at 23, i STRONGLY think we should take him seeing that we have no glaring needs. That being said...There is no way he is there at 23.

No way we draft a QB in rd 1..........if he's still there at #23, I suspect a number of teams would be interested in moving up and we could get an extra 3rd and maybe more :)

I am going to be vouching starting around now that if Willis McGahee's knee is cleared as 100%, and last night ESPN did a piece on McGahee, where he said he is rehabbing 6 days a week and it was said that there are no after effects except a sleeve on his knee, and agent Drew Rosenhaus said he'll be ready to go. Granted, that all may just be talk, but if he's there and he'll be ready he is an intriguing option...

Its funny how 2 months ago McGahee was a projected 5-7th round pick, now he is in the first...Climb baby climb.

Take :chuckle: McGahee :chuckle: in the :chuckle: first rd?

QB, RB, K/P are the only positions not under consideration in rd 1.

It's not like we have a backup at RB...and if you want to talk about production, McGahee is probably the best talent who would be available at 23. 6-2, 225, great speed, just an amazing talent. Better than Portis IMO.

So you want to use a #1 pick on a #2 RB?

At this point we aren't looking for starters...New Orleans did it with Deuce and Deuce didn't even play. McGahee would play, as Travis carried the ball too much overall last year. McGahee is a threat to go the distance every time he touches the ball.

Whoever picks Mcghee is going to have a very big risk on there hands. I mean the guy tore 3 ligaments in his knee, PCL, ACL, MCL. I don't care how much he is rehabbing he isn't going to available for this upcoming season at all. His agent is just hyping him up to get paid. I mean I wish the best for Mcghee but I thin he is just blind by the excitement that is coming his way. Go Bills!

Yeah, his agent may have just been talking, but its not unreasonable for him to be ready by September. Don't forget his injury happened at the end of January, so it would be 6 months from the injury to training camp. I just think if TD deems that he will be ready and we can risk it, I think we should do it, because he is that good.

Not to Nitpick, but it happened at the BCS chapionship game 1/3/03

Yeah, I realized that when watching ESPN's feature on McGahee, so in that case it's even more time...

For some reason I got the BCS Championship date mixed up with the Super Bowl...but just so we all know, Willis will work out for scouts the week before the Draft, and that's why I think if he impresses scouts, he wouldn't be the risk everyone thinks come the draft.

Also, look at his agent........he's not the most reputable IMO!

TD could go in any direction right now......he could trade up or down, take best player available, etc. I suspect the best player available route for someone who can contribute this season. I'm intrigued by some names recently mentioned for the Bills:

CB Dennis Weathersby(Oregon St)
DB Rashean Mathis(Bethune-Cookman)
DE Michael Haynes(Penn St)

I even like the thought that TEs Jason Witten or Dallas Clark could be on the radar screen

I can't wait until draft day!!! :cp:

Clump, while yes I agree with what you say on Rosenhaus, if TD and his staff think that as of McGahee's workout that he will be ready would you be opposed to using a selection on him?

No.......but not in the first or second rds. If he available in rd 3, then I wouldn't be against it.

First would probably be too high too, but I wouldn't mind using a 2nd on Willis...With a full recovery, he is the equivalent of a Top 5 Pick IMO.

I think we should give our 2nd to the Pats for Jones, it looks like thats all they are lookin for.

i wouldnt be against mcgahee if we traded down in the first to pick up an extra second.. but anything higher than a late second onhim is too much.. considering we dont really need him..

it is amazing that he may actually go that high now. i am happy for the kid.

i agree.newman is good but he's not #1 overall.that draft is SO defensive dominant that i find it hard to believe that the first OL is taken 13th overall.

What the hell does that emoticon have to do with the rest of your post emoticon usage is getting freaking rediculous around here.

If the Bungals ant a CB, they'll trade down. If no takers, they'll pick Palmer.
