I didn't watch the game, but I don't think I had to. When someone e-mailed me that Edwards was in I began watching the PBP.

It didn't escape notice that, probably while NE was adjusting to his coming in, he went 4-of-5 for 55 yards probably with many here thinking that Losman's injury had corrrected our offensive issues.

But throughout the last three Qs Edwards was 6-of-15 (40%) for 42 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT. Pretty similar to what he did in his senior year of school other than vs. San Jose State, a team that I'm not even sure fields a D.

For clarification, that's 2.8 YPA.

And you really want to know why they didn't throw Edwards?

It looked to me from the PBP that they were merely attempting to get off the field as quickly as possible since NE could have scored again but didn't. I'm sure they feared the "rath of BB and the Pats" had they seriously attempted to score again after that.

In essence, that last drive was everyone's nightmare; the Bills genuflecting before the Pats.
