Do you think these guys got togther and said....
Why spend money now when NE is so full of talent now?
Lets face it Jets and NE did not have a chance during those Bills
SB years...
as we do not have one now...(Talent wise).
Did you expect G Jreer to cover R ****** Moss?
I thought we might be in year 2 of a 3 year plan...but it is worse then that.
I dont think we were far off at the begining of 2007. I thought we were a TE and #2 WR away on Offense. The oline final addressed L Evans,M Lynch, JP nice starting core... On Deffense I thought we needed one DT, One OLB and one CB....now we need all of those things + a MLB +2x CB +FS + Pass rusher + Offensive coodinator + HC + GM...and alot of quality depth.
But iT WILL GET WORSE before it gets better....
We are in year 2 of a 4 year plan I am afraid.
These guys have to know that which is why they didnt blow thier wad on getting every FA on the open market. I am sure we go hard after a difference maker in 2008 AND 2009...i THINK 2 not one more draft until it rights...
By then hopfully NE will start to be caught up to in terms of talent and scheme as did other team catching up to the no huddle.
And when we finally win our Super bowl it wont have an asterisk for cheating.
