5:40 PT: Gary Myers reports the New York Jets reportedly turned down a trade with the Houston Texans regarding RB LaMont Jordan. The Jets had the chance to jump to the third spot in the April NFL draft, but rejected Houston's request for Jordan to be part of a package that included the higher of their two first-round picks, No. 13. As previously noted, the Chicago Bears called to gauge the Jets interest in swapping their No.4 pick overall for the Jets two first-rounders. If the Jets do trade both of their No. 1s to get into the top five, it likely will be for an impact defensive player, not one of the top WRs. The Jets probably won't take a receiver until the third or fourth round.
