With POZ out for the season (likely) and the fact the position has been absolutely decimated by injuries; why not reach out and sign a vet leader like Jeremiah Trottier?
Don't get me wrong, he's not going to make much of a difference on this team.. This defense is dreadful and I dont think any one player will change that this year.
But signing Trottier would accomplish two things....
1- He's been a solid vet leader throughout his career. Even if he only played for us for two years, or hell even just this year. At least they could have a proven leader for these young guys to learn from for a few months. Hell, it's like against the law on this team to sign a veteran player who's actually been good elsewhere before.
2- It would at least humor the fans that Ralph Wilson and Levy and crew actually give a **** and are at least still TRYING TO WIN.
Im tired of signing practice squad and special team crap players off Chicago everytime we need a guy. Sign a f'n guy who can actually play and contribute.. EVen if its SHORT TERM, the kids can at least learn something.
Of course it won't happen with this dickhead of an owner and HOF former head coach who couldnt make it any more obvious he can't run a NFL team at 81 years old.
