This raises a valid point for those who wanted to bench JP in favor of Trent Edwards:
full story
There were many Bills fans chirping last week that Trent Edwards should move ahead of J.P. Losman on the depth chart. Well, they got their wish Sunday when Losman suffered a knee injury on the first play of Buffalo's 38-7 spanking in New England.
All I can say is "Be careful what you wish for."
Losman has clearly struggled, but it wasn't time to pull the plug on him, and Edwards proved that. The rookie came in and was terrific on his first drive, leading the Bills 80 yards in 12 plays to their only score. Then the Patriots, who did not prepare to play him, regrouped and stifled Edwards and the Bills for the rest of the day. Edwards may indeed have a future, and he's going to start at least the next two games, but he's going to have to play a whole lot better if he hopes to supplant Losman.
